Take a Tour of Oxford's Picket Fences for 2010 - Eighteen picket fences have been designed and painted by local artists throughout the Community. They will be on display throughout the Town of Oxford until mid-September. Pick up a map at any Oxford business or in the boxes located throughout Town and take a 1.8 mile walking tour of the fences. On Saturday, October 2, an Auction of the Fences will be held at the Oxford Community Center from 4 to 6 pm.
Interested in purchasing a fence but cannot attend the event? Please visit our website ( www.portofoxford.com ) to find out how. Half of the profits from this event will be donated to the favorite charity of the artist whose fence raises the most money at the Auction!
Come to Oxford For Dinner and a Movie - The Town will have the Big Screen outdoors at the Oxford Causeway Park Soccer Field on Sunday, June 13, for everyone to enjoy "Back to Future". The movie is free to the public. Bring your blankets and /or lawn chairs to enjoy the movie under the stars.
Oxford's Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, July 3 at Dusk - raindate is Monday, July 5.
Enjoy music by the Chesapeake Steel Drum in Oxford's Town Park on Sunday, August 22, from 3 to 5 pm. The event is free to the public. Bring your lawn chairs/blanket and enjoy!
