TOWN OF OXFORD PUBLIC NOTICE OF 2025 ELECTIONS

There will be an ELECTION in the Town of Oxford to fill the expired term of
one COMMISSIONER for a three-year term of office. ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2025, FROM 8 AM TO 8 PM, and in person voting will be held at the COMMUNITY SERVICES BUILDING, 101 MARKET STREET, OXFORD, MD.

IMPORTANT DATES

If you are interested in running for the office of Town of Oxford Commissioner you may register for candidacy at the Oxford Town Office, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – Noon, 1 PM to 4 PM. Candidates should complete the 2025 Certificate of Nomination form linked here by May 19th at 4 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR VOTERS   (Town Charter, Article VI, Sec. C5-1)

1. Every person must be a citizen of the United States.
2. At least 18 years of age.
3. Has resided in the State of Maryland for thirty (30) days preceding the next election.
4. Has resided in the corporate limits of the Town of Oxford for thirty (30) days  preceding the next Town election.
5. And, is registered in accordance with the provisions of this Charter.

To register to vote citizens must register through the Maryland Universal Registry. The last day to submit VOTER REGISTRATION through the Maryland Universal Registry is MAY 20, 2025. Voters who submit their registration after this date will be required to complete a provisional ballot. Click here to register to vote in the Town of Oxford 2025 election. Interested in voting by absentee ballot? Please complete the 2025 Absentee Ballot application here. Last Request for an ABSENTEE BALLOT must be received by June 10, 2025. ABSENTEE BALLOTS must be returned to the Town Office no later than Election Day, June 17, 2025, by the close of business – 4 pm.
