TOWN OF OXFORD ELECTION FOR ONE COMMISSIONER ANNUALLY IS HELD IN JUNE. INFORMATON REGARDING THE 2024 ELECTION WILL BE POSTED WHEN AVAILABLE.

Form: Application for absentee ballot by registered voter

The application for absentee ballot must be made by July 11, 2023.

Absentee ballots must be returned prior to the Election poles closing on July 18, 2023.

There will be an ELECTION in the Town of Oxford to fill the expired term of
one COMMISSIONER for a three-year term of office.

IMPORTANT DATES

You may register for candidacy at the Oxford Town Office,
Monday through Friday, 9 AM – Noon, 1 PM to 4 PM.

The deadline for registering as a CANDIDATE for office is Monday, MAY 15, 2023 at 4 PM.

Last day to submit VOTER REGISTRATION to Talbot County Elections Board is MAY 23, 2023.

Last Request for an ABSENTEE BALLOT must be received by June 13, 2023.

ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023 FROM 8 AM TO 8 PM
AT THE OXFORD COMMUNITY SERVICES BUILDING, 101 MARKET STREET, OXFORD, MD

QUALIFICATIONS FOR VOTERS

Must be a citizen of the United States. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have resided in the corporate limits of Oxford for thirty (30) days next preceding any Town election.  Must be registered to vote in accordance with the provisions of the Charter. Qualified voters must be registered to vote no later than four (4) weeks prior to the day of the election.

2023 Application for Absentee Ballot by Registered Voter

Once approved by the Election Board, Absentee Ballots will be mailed to the voter.

COMPLETED ABSENTEE BALLOTS must be returned to the Town Office no later than Election Day, June 20, 2023 by the close of business – 4 pm. Or provided to the Election Judges prior to closing of poles.

ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023 FROM 8 AM TO 8 PM, and in person voting will be held at the COMMUNITY SERVICES BUILDING, 101 MARKET STREET, OXFORD, MD.
