There will be an ELECTION in the Town of Oxford on September 15, 2020 to fill the
expired term of one COMMISSIONER for a three-year term of office.

Registration to vote in the election must be made by August 18, 2020. If you are registered, or have registered with the Talbot County Election Board by this date, you are registered to vote in this election.

With the health concerns of COVID-19 and the risk to vulnerable populations, ABSENTEE VOTING is recommended and available to all citizens.  A qualified voter desiring to vote in the coming election as an ABSENTEE VOTER must make an application in writing to the Supervisor of Elections for an absentee ballot no later than September 7, 2020. ABSENTEE VOTER applications can be requested by email to [email protected] or the application can be downloaded from from this page:  2020 Election Information and returned by US Mail to PO Box 339, Oxford, MD 21654 or by placing in the Town Office Drop Box at 101 Market Street. Immediately following approval of the Election Board, the Absentee Ballot, with complete instructions, will be mailed to the voter.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS must be returned to the Town Office no later than Election Day, September 15, 2020 by the close of business – 4 pm.

 ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2020, FROM 2 PM TO 7 PM, and in person voting will be held at the COMMUNITY SERVICES BUILDING, 101 MARKET STREET, OXFORD, MD.

 Due to COVID-19, Face Coverings and Social Distancing will be required for in person voting. Signs will be posted directing voters through the process. Please follow all instructions as provided.
