Oxford Town Administration

The Oxford Town Office is located in the Community Services Building located at 101 Market Street, which also houses the Oxford Police Department and the Oxford Commissioner’s Meeting Room.

The Town Office is where you can find all “Oxford” information. Permitting for the Historic District Commission, the Planning Commission, and the Port Wardens is done through this office.  All Water Billing, along with other municipal permits and needs is handled by this office. You can report any issue you may have in town and get answers to any questions you may have.

The office is open Monday thru Friday from 9 am to noon and from 1 pm to 4 pm. There is a drop box to the left of the front door for leaving large envelopes for the office staff and a mail slot on the wall to the left of the front door for paying bills or dropping off letters.

For after hours urgent situations, water leaks, road hazards, etc., you can text or call the Town Manager at 410-463-5895.

The office is closed and Oxford employees are off on all State Holidays. The office is also closed the week between Christmas and New Years, but emails are checked regularly.

Did you know, permitting is required for all construction, demolition, alterations, signage, paving, and many other projects, including tree removal, vegetation removal within the 100’ Critical Area Buffer, along with any disturbance to the land, including adding fill.  When in doubt assume you may need a permit and contact us first!

Oxford is surrounded by water which is our biggest asset. But those who live on the water know they need to respect the water and the weather. The Town of Oxford has two FEMA Certified Floodplain Managers here to provide you with information regarding Flood Insurance, Flood Mitigation Projects and Emergency Preparedness Planning that will assist you in protecting your family and your property.
